So Suzy Blog Hop

Hello friends & welcome to So Suzy Stamps Blog Hop

I have a card for today's blog hop made with Rose Bloom & Flair And Laughter stamps. Scroll down for the tutorial...
I started with stamping the  Rose Bloom stamp on vellum with versamark ink & heat embossed it using Ranger superfine silver embossing powder. At this point I was not sure of the design or color scheme so I stamped several times.
Next I colored the images with Spectrum noir markers. Below you can see the colors I used on my final card. Then I fussy cut the Rose Bloom stamp.
I used a die cut border & embossed cardstock on the top portion of the card. I wanted some color to show through the open spaces of the lacy die cut so I placed the border where I wanted it & marked the edges with pencil. Then I colored it in with the marker taking care to leave 1mm space between the pencil line & colored area so that the border looks neat after I glue down the border. Coloring like this also helped me to avoid any extra bulk & a lot of fussy cutting. Never mind the uneven coloring because it will be hidden behind the border.
Now it was time to glue everything down. I also added some pearls to jazz it up...
Now I used  Mini MISTI to stamp Flair And Laughter stamp since I didn't want to ruin all the work that went in the card at last step...
After stamping I decided to use Metallic Silver Nuvo Crystal Drops around the sentiment...
Here are some close-ups of the finished card...

Hope you like my card...

In Love

Hello friends & welcome to So Suzy Stamps inspiration post
I have a card for today's blog hop made with In Love stamp. Scroll down for the tutorial...
I started with die cutting a piece of white cardstock with stitched scalloped oval die. I left the die in place & used Mini MISTI to  stamp In Love stamp with black archival ink as I wanted a white edge on the die cut without any stamping. I also used some removable tape to cover the edge of the die where the stamp will leave an impression for easy cleanup. The stamp left a halo at the edge of the die  so I used a black gel pen to fill in the missing area.
Once the stamping was done I used picked raspberry distress ink & Clarity Brushe to add a little shading.
I die cut a piece of white cardstock with a fancy border die, embossed it & inked it with cracked pistachio distress ink. I cut a 1/2" border from the straight edge, embossed it using a floral embossing folder.
I adhered a piece of silver glitter washi tape on the card base vertically as shown & adhered both the die cut & embossed pieces on top. Then I adhered the oval die cut on top with foam adhesive. At this point I felt that the girl was looking washed out so I added color to her dress & veil using a small round brush & stencil. I also added few drops of Gloss Carnation Pink Nuvo Crystal Drops to make her earring & to dress-up her shoes... The final step was to add tiny pearls to the die cuts.
Hope you like my card...

If Kisses Were Snowflakes

Hello friends...

Wishing you all a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year!!!

Welcome to So Suzy Stamps inspiration post...
The theme for today is "Baby, it's cold outside + Vellum"

I have made a snowflakes card for today's post & I also have a small tutorial...

I started with die cutting a piece of white cardstock & then stamped Snowflake Kisses stamp with black archival ink using my Mini MISTI to position it perfectly...
I inked the card front with blue ink with ombre effect...
Then I cut a piece of vellum of same size and adhered it at the top portion where it will be covered by the die cut.
I used foam adhesive to adhere the die cut to the card front to add a little dimension.
Next I die cut 2 pieces of snowflakes & adhered them as shown on the vellum & cut off the excess portion hanging outside the edges... I added some rhinestones to the snowflakes to add some sparkle...

Hope you like my card for today...
Thank you for visiting :)
